Abstract

War and peace as one of the fundamental concepts in human social life have been the attention of thinkers and many definitions of it have been expressed. In the meantime, the definition that religion provides us of the concept of war and peace is very valuable and can be a model for the performance of the followers of that religion.be placed The subject of this article is the analytical of the logic of the verses of war and peace in the Qur'an and the Torah, and it has been tried to investigate the verses of war and peace by applying the theoretical and library method. The main goal of this research is to explain the logic of the verses of war and peace in the Qur'an and the Torah.

The findings of the research show that the principle of the Torah, which is the ten commandments and has a divine origin, corresponds to the verses of the Qur'an, emphasized in the fifth commandment, do not kill. Also, in the verses of the Holy Quran, priority is given to non-war and establishing peace.

But over time, the Torah was distorted and the meaning of the verses of war and peace in it changed and distanced itself from the Qur'an.In the current Torah, the verses of war are harsh, absolute and immoral, and peace is considered only according to the interests of the Jewish people, but in the Qur'an,up to as much as possible, priority is given to peace and the logic of tolerance prevails.
