The concept of kosher in Jewish Sharia and the concept of halal in most of its applications in Islamic Sharia, as well as the two concepts of martyrdom and slaughter in these two religious traditions, indicate the existence of relatively detailed laws regarding the permissible use of edibles and beverages. These halakhic and jurisprudential laws show that the range of food and drink is limited. The important point behind these laws is their theological strains. This article tries to reveal the theological strains behind these laws by stating the mentioned laws and customs. The non-recognition and rejection of any non-monotheistic system and the inadmissibility of any legislation outside the framework of the monotheistic system is the most important theological aspect of these laws. The next topic is the importance of life and giving life and the exclusive right to take life for God, and any human actions in this area are only by God's permission. This is another theological strain that is inferred.
