Revelation hasalways been an important topic and issue among religious advocates. The passage of time and the meticulousness of scholars have not diminished the sensitivity and importance of the issue. Soroush, one of the contemporary intellectuals, has dedicated his major research project to this area. Hehas presented detailed research and results in a manner inconsistent with the well-known Muslim interpretation of revelation. Soroush first interpreted revelation as a "prophetic experience" and then as an "apostle vision" and has disagreed with Muslim scholars on most of its features.
In presenting his views on revelation, Soroush has used various scientific foundations such as philosophy, epistemology, sociology, etc., but it seems that the most important scientific field influential in Soroush's revelation theory has been theology.
Numerous theological challenges such as the conflict between science and religion, some of the issues of God's attributes, prophecy, miracles, the Quran, finality, imamate, and the like, are among the issues that have concerned his research on revelation. In the process of explaining and completing his perspective, he directly or indirectly benefited from some of the erroneous opinions or some famous theological perspectives, and has finally arrived at a new perspective on the truth of revelation. While using various theological fields, he emphasizes that his perspective will also solve many theological challenges. In this article, using an analytical-descriptive method, we have addressed the most important theological fields of Soroush's perspective, and in each field, we have explained and criticized how he used them to strengthen experience and vision.
