Abstract:
A correct and humane approach to the issue of women has gained great importance in today's world, as has having practical mechanisms to support women. Judaism and Christianity, as two Abrahamic and divine religions, have addressed this issue in a bold manner in their teachings, as well as in their commands and norms, and this raises the question and expectation of how far these two religious traditions have dealt with the issue and can it be defended today. Are there any similarities and differences between these two religions? By examining the texts and sources, classifying them, and referring to the documents and research available, we can conclude that the two religious traditions, in their time and in comparison, presented progressive and progressive views on the issue of women. Of course, the spirit of patriarchy has more or less influenced religious thought and sometimes pushed it back. However, these teachings can still act as helpers and pioneers in the fair realization of women's rights according to today's standards and values. This is especially noticeable in Islam and Shiite jurisprudence. Of course, all these positive points do not mean the denial of some negative attitudes.
