نمادگرایی در متن مقدس با تکیه بر عدد هفت در آیه هفت‌آسمان و مکاشفه یوحنا

چکیده

دین­پژوهی تطبیقی از علوم نوینی است که بیش از یک سده از عمر آن نمی­گذرد. پس از ظهور دین‌پژوهی تطبیقی به عنوان یک رشته علمی، عرصه‌های وسیعی برای بروز و ظهور این رویکرد جدید در پژوهش مطرح شد. یکی از این عرصه­ها الاهیات تطبیقی با تمامی زیرموضوعاتش است. در این مقاله نخست به اصل وجود نمادگرایی در کتاب مقدس و قرآن اشاره کوتاهی می‌کنیم و در ادامه به بررسی تطبیقی معنای نمادین عدد هفت در مکاشفه یوحنا در عهد جدید و «هفت‌آسمان» مذکور در قرآن خواهیم پرداخت. حاصل آنکه چون محققان مسلمان کمتر به مطالعات با رویکرد برون‌دینی و حتی برون‌رشته­ای پرداخته­اند، مجال چندانی برای برداشت نمادین از این عدد رخ نداده، اما در نوشته­های محققان غربی با توجه به اقبال به این رویکرد، که با زمینه­های تاریخی ویژه­ای همراه بوده است، دریافت نمادین از این عدد به­ وفور به چشم می­خورد. اما در مجموع با یک بررسی تطبیقی می­توان به این نتیجه رسید که هر دو کتاب، دست‌کم از نظر بسیاری از مفسران و محققان، عدد «هفت» را در یکی از دو معنا یعنی «کمال» یا «کثرت» به کار برده‌اند. در این نوشته در پی بررسی نمادگرایی در قرآن و کتاب مقدس و به صورت خاص بررسی تطبیقی معنای نمادین عدد هفت در «هفت آسمان» قرآن و مکاشفه یوحنا خواهیم بود.

Comparative study of religion is a new branch of science, almost one-century-old, coming up with new approaches towards religious researches as in the field of comparative theology along with all of its subdivisions.
Based on these approaches, at first, this article briefly refers to the principle of symbolism both in Quran and the Bible and then it comparatively surveys the symbolic meaning of the number of seven, coming in the verse of seven heavens in the former and the Apocalypse of John in the latter. Since the Muslim scholars have had less inter-religious approaches in their studies, not so much cases of symbolic interpretations of this number could be found through their works as in those of their western counterparts. From a comparative point of view the conclusion is that the number of seven in both of the holy books conveys two meanings namely perfection and plurality.
