چکیده
چیستی زمان و هستی، همان‌طور که سایر ملل به آن توجه دارند، در آیین جَیْنه نیز محل تأکید واقع شده و یکی از محورهای مهم در متون آن آیین به ‌شمار می‌آید که اساس باورِ پیروان را تشکیل داده است. زمان با کیهان و هستی در ارتباط است و کیهان در پرتو زمان در چرخه‌ای دائم در گردونه زمان توجیه می‌شود. همان‌طور که زمان در یک چرخه و دور، مراحل و تقسیماتی دارد که آغاز و انجامی برایش متصور نیست، هستی هم در دایره زمان بدون آغاز و انجام دائم در حال دَوَرانِ مراحل خود طلوع و غروب می‌کند. افزون بر آن، اهمیت جهان‌شناسی آیین جَیْنه در توجیه بی‌خدای عالم با ماده‌ای عظیم یا مهاستّا در شش دسته، جی‌وه و اَجی‌وه، دْهَرمه و ادْهَرمه، کاله و پودگله است.

چکیده English

The essence of time and existence, as it is considered in other nations, is emphasized in Jainism and is counted as one of the important topics in its texts, which forms the basis of the followers' belief. Time is related to the cosmos and existence, and in the light of time, the cosmos is justified in a constant cycle in the wheel of time. Just as time in a cycle has stages and divisions for which there is no beginning or end, existence also rises and sets in the circle of time without beginning and ending in the cycle of its stages. In addition, the importance of Jainism's cosmology is in justifying the atheism of the universe with a great substance or mahastha in six categories, Jivah and Ajivah, Dharma and Adharma, Kale and Podgale.
